During Ireland’s first lockdown between March and May of this year, students from across Clare were asked to submit pieces of art work under the theme “My Life at Home”. Tom, Lily and Eve Moloney were among some of the students in Feakle who submitted pieces of art work. In October, art work from students across the county hung proudly in Glór’s art gallery, including the work from Tom, Lily and Eve. Well done to the Moloneys! You can see their art work below:
The 12th-16th of October was Mental Health Week in Feakle NS. Lots of activities were undertaken in all classes. Clare Bike Week took place from the 20th-27th September 2020. As part of their week of celebration of all things two-wheeled, they held a competition for primary schools to design a new hi-vis jacket for their school. Feakle NS celebrated Clare Bike Week 2020 between the 21st and 25th September. Students were encouraged to practice their bike skills at home, to cycle to and from school for the week and to design a brand new hi-vis jacket for the school. Congrats to all students who got involved and to all parents who followed the students to school with their schoolbags!
A massive thank you to all members of the school community and the wider community of Feakle that donated to the Cash for Clobber collection between the 21st and 25th September 2020. We collected so many bags of clothing that we lost count when counting them! The money raised from this collection will go towards different initiatives within the school. Thank you all again!
