Well done to all the children who came out and marched with the school float. The theme chosen for this year’s float was the Blue Star Programme. The school has participated in this programme for the last five years and whilst doing so learn about different aspects of the European Union.
Each child dressed up in the colours of the country and we had two flag bearers. Hope you all had a lovely St. Patrick’s weekend.
Some of our activities (so far!) this year.
All week our classes were involved in different activities to mark World Book Day. The pupils created their own bookmarks. Prizes were given to first, second and third place in each class. A senior and junior table quiz was held on Friday. The winning teams were delighted to receive a second book token and a homework pass. Pupils who wished to engage in a ‘book swap’ received a friend’s book. Enjoy redeeming your book tokens!
Six pupils in 2nd Class made their first confession in Kilclaren Church on Tuesday 5th March with Fr Joe McMahon. It was a very special night for them and their families. We are very proud of them and look forward to helping them prepare for their Holy Communion on 11th May.
We have learned a lot about plants. Hopefully our grass and cress seeds with germinate so our heads grow some fun hair! 2nd 3rd 4th
Tricky but we did it. Thanks for all the rushes. 2nd, 3rd, 4th
In November 2nd, 3rd and 4th showed off their gymnastic ability. They had great fun creating a routine together and finishing with these freeze frames.
Let there be daffodils.
On a beautiful autumn day we were thinking ahead to spring. We planted our daffodil bulbs and we even found some insects and had a closer look. Now we can enjoy our beautiful daffodils. Well done everyone.
