It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
Everyone was looking very festive today in their Christmas jumpers. We raised over €500 for The Jack & Jill Foundation and this donation was made in memory of Cian McNamara. Thanks for all your generous donations for this worthy cause.
5th and 6th Class Christmas Enterprise:
5th and 6th class are selling their Christmas Enterprise from this Monday, 30th November. Their enterprise consists of two products- Christmas slate tree decorations and Christmas slate tea coasters.
The Christmas slate tree decorations are sold in a pack of 1 at €3.00 each and the Christmas slate tea coasters are sold in a pack of 4 at €5.00 each.
If you would like to purchase these products, please send money to school with your child(ren). Due to Covid-19 regulations, we kindly ask that parents do not enter the school to purchase the products. The products are also on sale in Moloney’s shop and Smyth’s Hardware from Monday, 30th November for the community to buy them also.

Feakle Students feature in Glór Art Gallery Exhibition:
During Ireland’s first lockdown between March and May of this year, students from across Clare were asked to submit pieces of art work under the theme “My Life at Home”. Tom, Lily and Eve Moloney were among some of the students in Feakle who submitted pieces of art work. In October, art work from students across the county hung proudly in Glór’s art gallery, including the work from Tom, Lily and Eve. Well done to the Moloneys! You can see their art work below:
100 Random Acts of Kindness Challenge in Feakle NS:
The 12th-16th of October was Mental Health Week in Feakle NS. Lots of activities were undertaken in all classes. The 100 Random Acts of Kindness Challenge was undertaken by the whole school and a whooping 239 Acts of Kindness were completed by our students! These acts of kindness included saying thank you to the bus driver, feeding the hens, smiling at a friend and so much more. Take a look at some of the wonderful acts of kindness our students completed below. Well done to all our students!

Juniors, Seniors and First class were busy planting daffodils in the school garden this week!
Clare Bike Week Hi-Vis Jacket Design Competition- Feakle Win!
Clare Bike Week took place from the 20th-27th September 2020. As part of their week of celebration of all things two-wheeled, they held a competition for primary schools to design a new hi-vis jacket for their school. The winner would see their design on 30 new hi-vis jackets for the school. On Tuesday, we received word that Tríona McNamara, 6th class, was the winner of this competition from across the county. Well done to Tríona! Please see below, Tríona’s winning design. We can’t wait to received these beautiful hi-vis jackets!
Clare Bike Week 2020
Feakle NS celebrated Clare Bike Week 2020 between the 21st and 25th September. Students were encouraged to practice their bike skills at home, to cycle to and from school for the week and to design a brand new hi-vis jacket for the school. Congrats to all students who got involved and to all parents who followed the students to school with their schoolbags!
Cash for Clobber September 2020
A massive thank you to all members of the school community and the wider community of Feakle that donated to the Cash for Clobber collection between the 21st and 25th September 2020. We collected so many bags of clothing that we lost count when counting them! The money raised from this collection will go towards different initiatives within the school. Thank you all again!
6th Class Confirmation August 2020:
A big congratulations to our departing 6th class students who received the sacrament of Confirmation at a small ceremony on the 15th August 2020. The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church in Feakle and the students were also joined by the pupils of Flagmount NS, Dromindoora NS and Raheen Steiner School. We also say a big thank you to Fr. Joe McMahon and Fr. James O’Brien, the celebrants of the mass.
Graduation Day 2020
Congratulations to our 6th Class pupils who graduated from Feakle National School. We wish you all the very best as you move onto secondary school! Best of luck Abby, Niamh, Molly, Zsuzsi, Denis, Diarmuid, Ethan, Eddy, Finn & Seán. We will miss you all in Septmeber.
