Science Week Visit to Scariff Library

All the children from 2nd to 6th class went to Scariff Library this afternoon to see Sue McGrath give her workshop. She taught us about some amazing Irish scientists and we were very able assistants on the day. We had great fun!

Hope Shoebox Appeal

This year over seventy shoeboxes were donated by Feakle NS children to the Hope Shoebox Appeal. This is such a worthy cause and means so much to the children who receive them every year. Well done to all who donated!

Lees Road 2018

A brilliant day had by all! Congratulations to our medal winners and to all the children who took part! So many children getting out and active and having fun whilst doing so. That’s what it’s all about. Thank you to Mrs Conlon who trained the children over the last number of weeks and all the parents who came along yesterday to cheer on the children, supervise races, take photos, help children with warm ups etc!

Senior Room Entrepreneur Program

The senior room have been busy in recent weeks developing their business idea ‘Wacky Wellies’. Thank you to everybody who has supported them in their business idea by either sending in old, unwanted wellies or by buying some of their lovely garden planters. The money they raise is being put towards reducing the cost of their end of year school tour. So far they have earned over €200.

Holy Communion

Congratulations to the 2nd class children who received Holy Communion on May 12th. We hope a lovely day was had by all the children and their families. A special thank you to the children in the choir for their beautiful singing. The choir was accompanied by Eleanor Nugent who was completing her TY work experience with us and by Sophie Conway and Keeley Rochford on tin whistle; Chloe Gallagher, Katie Moloney and Edel Cusack on concertina. The music accompaniment made the mass extra special for the Holy Communion children. Thank you to all the parents who set up the hall and were there to greet the children and their families after the mass.
