World Book Day 2019

All week our classes were involved in different activities to mark World Book Day. The pupils created their own bookmarks. Prizes were given to first, second and third place in each class. A senior and junior table quiz was held on Friday. The winning teams were delighted to receive a second book token and a homework pass. Pupils who wished to engage in a ‘book swap’ received a friend’s book. Enjoy redeeming your book tokens!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Six pupils in 2nd Class made their first confession in Kilclaren Church on Tuesday 5th March with Fr Joe McMahon. It was a very special night for them and their families. We are very proud of them and look forward to helping them prepare for their Holy Communion on 11th May.

Planting Daffodils

Let there be daffodils.

On a beautiful autumn day we were thinking ahead to spring. We planted our daffodil bulbs and we even found some insects and had a closer look. Now we can enjoy our beautiful daffodils. Well done everyone.

Music Generation

These are the songs that each classroom created with Katie in the first term. Hope you all enjoy them!

Indoor Hurling

Both the boys and girls attended the indoor hurling in Flagmount on Wednesday 23rd. The boys won their tournament. The girls drew with Flagmount/Dromindoora and had to replay on Monday 28th. Unfortunately the girls lost the match. Indoor hurling is a very fast game. Both teams played very well and must be congratulated for their team effort.
