Poems for the Environment
During the past fortnight, 5th and 6th class were learning about the work of environmentalists and how they are helping to make the world a better place.
This week we all wrote a poem about the environment with a focus on trying to do our best for the fragile world we live in.
We hope you enjoy them!

Back Training…Happy Days!
Thanks to Brian, Shane and Michaela for our first GAA training session this year.
Happy Europe Day!
As part of our Blue Star Programme, we took part in some special events today, organised by European Movement Ireland to mark Europe Day on 9th May. We completed our last Kahoot quiz on Institutions of the EU, then watched a live event with Minister Thomas Byrne and An Taoiseach Michéal Martin, brought home some EU resources and finally had an “air handshake” for Europe.
Green Schools Competition
We were amazed by the fantastic ideas our pupils came up with on how to reuse a milk carton. So many different designs and lots of work went into each creation. Hope all who took part enjoyed their treat.
Happy St Patrick’s Day
We celebrated St Patrick’s Day with our Lá Glas today. We had some poems, live traditional music and Irish dancing outside in the sun and finished our St Patrick’s Day artwork in class.

Feakle Students feature in Glór Art Gallery Exhibition:
During Ireland’s first lockdown between March and May of this year, students from across Clare were asked to submit pieces of art work under the theme “My Life at Home”. Tom, Lily and Eve Moloney were among some of the students in Feakle who submitted pieces of art work. In October, art work from students across the county hung proudly in Glór’s art gallery, including the work from Tom, Lily and Eve. Well done to the Moloneys! You can see their art work below:
